Critic
Thierno Ibrahima Dia is a Senegalese researcher in comparative cinema and a film critic. He is also a lecturer in film studies since 1999 at Bordeaux 3 University. He is the Chief Editor and a film critic at Africiné Magazine and Images Francophones. He worked as film coordinator at the 3rd World Black Film Festival in Dakar. He was the curator of Ciné Palabres (2003-2011), a monthly cine-club at Bordeaux Mériadeck Public Library. He is a former radio host and has published many articles. He received a lifetime achievement award at 2018 Image et Vie Film Festival. He was a jury member for the documentary competition at 29th Carthage Film Festival.
